He said plans were far advanced for its commission on October 18 with the expected arrival of some equipment.

He said the analyzer would also be one of the immense benefit to parents with hermaphrodite children to determine the dominant sex while thy are young, since surgery will make it possible for such children to grow into 'normal' adults. The 178,000 euros laboratory is being funded from the internally generated funds of the hospital.
