The conference has indeed been cut from 3 to 2 days, mainly because of costs.  The conference will run from 11:00AM Saturday until 1:00PM on Sunday.  I will be the speaker for the transgender issues breakout session on Saturday.

I've also signed up to coordinate the publicity for this event.  Please let everyone you can think of know that it will be happening.  Here's the link to the soon to be updated web site: http://www.rainbowprideconnection.net/

I was informed yesterday that the Rainbow Pride Connection website has been updated.  Stop by, take a look and don't forget to register for this exciting opportunity to visit a lovely spot on the banks of Chautauqua Lake and commune with members of our community!

The Rainbow Pride Connection Conference is tomorrow!  And I have no idea yet what I'll be speaking about, lol.  The title, "Transgender Issues" is just too huge!  I'll think of something, though, rambling on for 45 minutes or so shouldn't bee too tough, I can leave 30 for questions!  :D

Emelye, you'll think of something really good. Tell us about the conference when you get back.

I decided to speak about one thing that all trans people, all humans for that matter, have to deal with: self acceptance.  It's just that most trans people have a bit more trouble than most in that regard.  We had 10 people besides myself in the workshop (some of the G's and L's didn't think we would get 3!) and the session went well.

Of course, I invited all of them to come here (and the Wiki too, of course) to learn more if they had any questions of just to visit a safe and supportive site.

The rest of the conference was fantastic and quite successful.  We heard almost nothing but good things and there is talk of repeating it next year so if you didn't make it this year, for whatever reason, stay tuned!!
