I am attracted to a range, from androgyne to very feminine. Other guys are attracted to other ranges, maybe "low femme" to "soft butch" or to androgyne to masculine.

This site has made me do a lot of thinking, and I think I could be attracted to a transgirl, if they appealed to me and I should not judge things by a few not-too-great experiences in the past. Likewise I think I could be attracted to another transman if they were "femme-y" or "->-bleeped-<-gy" no offense meant you all probably know what I mean

I'd put a poll on here if I knew how.

I am attracted to women. I have tended to date the fem type but would not say that is set in stone just who I have dated before. My SO would be classified in that group.

I loooove femmes but it's weird, there are women who consider themselves butch who I'd "do" lol  >:-) way back in the past I came onto a few and the reaction was not good - they consider themselves butch and to have a butcher-butch come onto THEM, yikes!

And seriously, this board has been an eye and mind opener for me, honestly, so many of the gals here are so beautiful, and a few of the guys are cute too. Not you manly beard-growers! But there's a spectrum....

None taken. (I'm a total twink, my partner tells me so atleast, and calls me cat-boy sometimes.)

I'm attracted to intellectual depth, capacity for debate, capacity for reason and logic. I'm attracted to people who make up their own opinions based on the facts at their disposal, even when they disagree with me, if not especially when they disagree with me. I'm attracted to mentally/intellectually strong people.

Being kinky helps too.

My partner and I can spend a whole day disagreeing on some fundamental aspect of existence. No fighting, just a controlled debate, with complex concepts thrown back and forth and logic backing up every opinion and aspect.
It usually means we end up in bed.

I don't think I have a 'type' but she has to have some smarts or I'll be bored.  And someone who isn't afraid to break a nail, who likes camping and hiking and other outdoorsy things, who would like someday to live off-grid on a remote ranch...or live in an RV....

I'll always be single, LOL.  I'm too weird.

Ideally I'm attracted to masculine men but I've learnt that I find many types of people sexy. like there are some trans and intersex people I've seen on youtube, who i find really attractive. I never thought I'd think that. Even trans and bio women I've found attractive, but could only think of myself, in a relationship with someone that feminine, as a male.

I guess I'm just a pan in the closet.
but still really, really asexual..

im one of those ->-bleeped-<-gy transguys. :P

as far as who i like, its not really based on who they are on the outside.  GENERALLY, uber hecka femmy bugs me.  i just get so annoyed with people who are the reason for every stereotype out there about women (or queens).  same with guys (or women) though... i dont like the super macho gay-bashing-to-show-off-how-straight-i-am type either.  i guess i just like people hovering somewhere in the middle.  or at least not on the extreme.

I used to go for smooth, androgynous sorts of guys, but recently I've been developing a taste for semi-bears.  Not too, too hairy, but a well trimmed beard and soft furry arms have been catching my attention lately. But it's still baby-faces that really turn my head.

Having said that, I find that 99 times out of 100 I'm either physically attracted to a person, or feel a mental connection.  Only once have I managed to find someone who attracted me on both levels, and unfortunately I blew it.  :(

You just described my girlfriend. Add to that that she likes to dress up to go out and is very much a girl when we're not camping or fishing.

Hands off, bro.

My type?  Blonde hair, blue eyes, independent, funny, ignores my cane and the conditions that require it while being totally aware of them at the same time, puts up with my insane (lack of) sleep schedule and doesn't call/text 500 times/day.

In chicks, my standards are pretty well impossibly high for a guy of my stature (take that any way you want to). I dig the typical Hollywood beauties like Keira Knightley or Alicia Silverstone (though not so much in her fat phase lol), and typically go for chicks irl who fit that type.

In guys, it really depends. Mostly I like the pretty-boy type, fairly feminine, though not the type who is, for lack of a better term, a "flamer". Overt and over-the-top flamboyancy doesn't do it for me.

And since we seem to be distinguishing between bio- and otherwise, I'm totally into ftms and mtfs, if they pass my likely too-rigorous standards.

i missed the bio-otherwise bit.

bio.  definitely wouldn't get involved with a pre-op MTF.  probably wouldn't get involved with one post-op either.

I'm afraid to say more now, this topic may well get removed. I had two other threads I started get removed and I have no idea why. I wish they'd email me and tell me why.

Males, I like men that look more feminine than act it...always been a fan of younger-looking or babyfaced guys. Lean bodybuild without being bony. I don't like "flamers"...just normal, down-to-earth guys without being over-the-top manly.

Women....I like girly girls that I can take care of. Petite, small, preferably thin girls. I love redheads and asians especially. Independent enough to where they don't cling to me 24-7. but enough that I feel like I'm needed.

In both situations I come to the conclusion I prefer filling the dominant role in the relationship....anything but that usually means we fight a lot. I also tend to go toward older partners vs. my own age group...5-10 years older, though I have gone even past that.

Would I date an MTF? Before this site...no...but I've changed my tune on that. Yes, but only if I never met them before transition, out of fear of seeing them as their birth gender out of habit. Not sure about pre-op...but post-op, sure, if they passed as female to me. There's a couple MtFs here that have caught my eye.

Chrissyboy I agree completely with your last 3 paragraphs!! The first one, well, at least so far I just am not attracted to men. But yeah, the petite girls I can take care of without being totally clingy, wanting to be the dominant one etc. And yeah there are some serious cuties among the girls here, if I ever met 'em in real life I'd invite 'em for coffee anyway. (which is kind of academic, since internet people never meet in real life, just saying.)

I like a good range of people but enjoy the softer personalities usually. I like my partner to be more effeminate though not necessarily a woman. I still would prefer women over men in most circumstances. Gay men are not exactly a no. There are possibilities there. And as far as MtFs go I consider them women anyways.
I want my girl to be somewhat independent though and have a mind of their own. Someone I could care for but have them be there for me as well. My girlfriend should be one of my best friends and should be able to talk science, philosophy, and art with me and know what they are talking about. I want to be able to learn from them and grow as a person and have them learn from me as well.
Someone I could love and geek out with, and most of all have them inspire me.
