Hey everyone!

It's been another long period since I've posted here and I thought I'd finally post some of the requested pics of the FFS results. It's been just over 8 months now since my second FFS surgery and I am extremely happy with the results. It has solidified my self-perception when I look in the mirror, it has boosted my self-confidence when I go out in public, and increased my overall happiness.

As a little background, I had been contemplating having FFS pretty much since the beginning (or at least the first time I found out that it was possible). I went with a couple friends up to San Francisco in January of 2008 for a consultation with Dr. Ousterhout. After getting the x-rays and him telling me the various procedures that could be done and what he recommended for me, I finally made an appointment for that May. At that time I had already been full time since December '07, but I was extremely self-consious about my looks. I knew I didn't pass well and it was eating me up inside.

I had the surgery in May, but due to financial hurdles I was only able to book the surgery for the chin and trachea shave. I figured it would be enough to get me by until I could afford the rest. A couple months after the initial surgery, after the swelling was down substantially, I knew it wasn't enough. I could see the potential and was very happy with the lower half of my face, but I still felt that I didn't pass enough and opted for the rest of the surgery. So in July of 2008 I scheduled another surgery with the good Dr. for January of 2009, to give me ample time to save up. I did all I could during those 6 months to save and save and finally reached the amount needed a week before the surgery (yes, the stress was unbearable).

This time I had scheduled some major work on my forehead, brows, and nose. This was all I felt I needed to round things out. I had the surgery. The first month I looked like a racoon. After that everything slowly settled. Which brings us to today.

My expectations were reached. I am completely satisfied with how it turned out. So here are some pics of me since the surgery. I don't normally take that many pics of myself so there are only a few. If I can find some of the old pics of me from the 'old' life I'll try and post them here as well for comparison.

I'm in the desert...don't mind the dust :P

2) nice fishnets :)

3) definitely would like to see some before pictures for comparison...

edit:
on the subject of FFS there's something I've been curious about -- are there visible scars leftover, and if so where do they end up?  speaking in general, not you specifically

I appreciate the comments everyone. I've found some old pics of me before any surgery (and before going FT) so you can see the difference.

Ketsy - As far as the scars, it depends on what you get done. For the trachea shave, the scar is usually under the chin. That one is pretty much gone now. For the chin/jaw the incision is usually on the inside of the lower lip. For the nose, they usually make an incision on the bridge between the nostrils, which for me has all but disappeared as well. For the forehead/brows, the incision is usually across the hairline, making it easy for the hair to cover any scars. The only scar that I can see anymore (and it's very hard to even see it) is the hairline scar. It's blended into the scalp enough to where unless you look really hard and know what you're looking for, you will not see it.

This is probably from about 3 1/2 years ago.

The next two pics are from a little over 3 years ago.

Wow!  Two FFS?  You're one brave girl!  But from the pics, you very natural female.  And thanks for the pre-pics, it completes the story of success.
