Does anyone find that they've got a bit of a belly from wearing their binder?

After a good few months of binding full time, I seem to be getting a small beer belly type thing.
It seems to begin where my binder ends. When I sit down and slouch, it puts pressure on my stomach.
It looks almost like the binder has just squished all the fat down to that one bit.

Maybe I'm just getting fat.
I highly doubt it though.

Everyone has a belly when they slouch.

And the binder probably doesn't give you one, just makes it more visible, cause.. you know.. the chesticles aren't blocking your view anymore.

Not to intrude on your thought, but maybe I could use a belly binder and push some of that up into my breasts.

I know just wishful thinking.

Have a great day.

I know that wearing my binder makes my gut poke out more (than usual). Despite wearing a full-length binder. I think it's just the contrast to having a flatter chest that makes it look bigger.

I have a full length one and nothing sticks out.  :)

I've been where I had a 6-pack even when slouching! Not recommended, it takes body fat of less than 10%!

I think the binder may encourage you to breathe using your belly more. Belly breating is done more in bicycle racing, there are pics out there of skinny bike guys with what looks like a beer belly, crouched over the bike lol. Running discourages belly breathing and encourages chest breathing.

I feel like I've got a bit of a belly too and I think it's because of riding a motorcycle - no not that we bikers like beer, which of course we do! It's because while riding air likes to sneak in under the bottom of the jacket, and one's shirt likes to come untucked, and pushing out the belly stops these things.

I have only used sports bras myself no binders, I'd like to try one sometime but they cost $$ so that's a problem for me. I dunno if I'd like using a binder or not. They sound uncomfortable.

I had this happen. I used a tritop and it seemed to make me look chubby not sure why but it was strange. Just compresses your top so much Pushing the bottom of your belly down and makes it appear larger than it is. I am not over weight at all and had this happen. One reason I am glad to have surgery done no more binder belly...

Yeah, I wear the tritop too.
I think you're on the same page as me here.

When actually wearing my binder, yeah, I have a belly, and more so than when I'm not binding. It's mostly due to the fact that in order to BREATHE, I have to relax my stomach muscles to balance the constraint on my chest. However, I've never noticed my belly growing when I'm not binding... not in any way that could be attributed to the binding, at least.

I guess it depends on how big your belly is in the first place.

Which for me is huge! However yes it did make it stick out alot more.
