Just thought I'd share. I got my first officially "guy's" haircut today. The stylist looked so sad when I said I wanted a guy's cut...haha. She didn't give me any trouble about it, though.

i like it although you looked cuter before.  but now you're a lot closer to passing. 

Hahah. I can deal with not being "cute" if it means I'll pass better. xD

I envy you guys that pass better after a haircut. Short hair just makes me look like a masculine girl, whereas with long hair, I look a bit more like a feminine bloke. (Realized this AFTER cutting my hair off.. *grumble*)

My brother (who doesn't know I'm trans) just said, "You know, no offense or anything...but, you look like a teenage guy!"
I was so happy...I kept thanking him. He looked a little weirded out.

Looks good and yeah, you pass a lot better with the shorter cut.

I just chopped off the last of my long hair (had a "reverse mullet" of sorts before...very androgynous cut, but my hair's too wavy to just put in the high ponytail the cut required. From the side I still looked like a chick), will pry post a pic later on.

Yep, tall girls are common, my shortest sister is 5'10.
I don't pass on height alone, regardless of what my hair's like.

Well I was a little preoccupied 'cuz I kept worrying the girl who was cutting it would try to give me a "female" version of what I showed her. But yes it was definitely a relief.
And my brother, well, he seemed pretty okay with it when I told him what a compliment that was. Though I'm sure he doesn't understand. He used to have long hair and everyone thought he was a girl, and he HATED it. (they still do think that though. >.< )

Well, the fact I've always been a *very* high soprano probably isn't helping...
And I also have my mom's genes when it comes to body shape. *curses his curves* binding helps with the upper body but not much I can do about the hips...

Though, I haven't really had the opportunity to see if I pass yet with this haircut. Haven't been out since I got it. We'll see how today goes...I'm going to a party with some school friends. (Including my ex boyfriend... >.< )

Oh wow, talk about a huge difference! You look more passable certainly, but I think it looks better on you altogether.
