has anyone come across dr brian ferguson before cos it looks like my first appointment will be with him and i was wondering if anyone knew what he was like?

I have never heard of him personally.

I use Dr Curtis.

I've not heard any direct feedback on him, ::)

...but I do know he is one of the Registered UK Gender psychiatrists operating as a consultant (and possibly co-founder) at the Nottingham Clinic. He has appeared in the press about keeping to extended RLE periods beyond the basic SOC guidelines to avoid "mistakes" in diagnosis. :-\

So whatever he is like to talk to, I guess I would not expect any unusually "quick" action, but at least you are seeing the "right guy" and not a "middle man". ;)

no i hadn't seen it but thanks to your link i have now. does it seem to everyone that once you start the process by seeing your g p that time seems to stop and everything is taking forever?

Unfortunately it's not generally an illusion.. :-\

I ended up paying for private counselling before I did something stupid last year. ::)

I may give the NHS a chance one of these days..but don't hold your breath.. ;)
