Sex change rape victim applauds prison sentence

A LLANELLI rape victim has spoken of her happiness after her attacker was jailed for eight years.

The victim, a male awaiting a sex change operation, who can not be named for legal reasons, said she felt the sentence was adequate to the crime and she was glad her ordeal was over.

She said: "It's just nice to be all over. I'm glad the truth had been told and justice has been done."

Earlier this month, Kiran Singh Chand was convicted after he orally raped and beat up his victim in a lane in Llanelli.

Not something I would necessarily "applaud." Eight years goes by rather quickly and this piece of garbage will be back out on the street to rape someone else. Chances are he will be out in a shorter time on "good behavior" or parole. The only type of sentencing that rapists need is to be shot.

The rape she suffered was bad enough, but the campaign of public vilification which followed is an outrage in its own right.

She said hurtful verbal abuse, becoming the target of a humiliating poster campaign, as well as being identified illegally and vilified on the social network site Facebook had forced her out of town.

Anyone on Facebook deserves what comes next.

I don't know why you'd think 8 years is an acceptable amount of time to serve for rape, but hey if it makes her happy...

alot us states have the new indeterminate sentence for rape this means they can serve anywheres from 1 year to life i love this scheme because in order to get released they have to get a phyciatrist to sign off that their harmless and none of the ones i know will put their license and civil liability insurance on the line for a piece of .... like that lol since colordo instituted that law not one rapist has been released
