GENDER IDENTITY- The term 'gender identity' means the gender-related identity, appearance, or mannerisms or other gender-related characteristics of an individual, with or without regard to the individual's designated sex at birth.

(4) the term 'gender identity' for the purposes of this chapter means actual or perceived gender-related characteristics.'.

There has been much commentary made about the meaning s of the term Gender Identity in these two bits of legislation.
