Candis Cayne @ the Abbey: A Legend in Miniature When you move to Los Angeles, you learn very quickly there are two Hollywoods. There's Hollywood with a capital H, the one that you see on the screen, and the one that you know exists all around you, but that you don't have much contact with because you are not an actress or a screenwriter or a producer, and so, in a sense, that Hollywood is very far away from you, as far away as if you lived in Kansas.

Then there is the other Hollywood, the one you can walk around in and drive around in -- the neighborhood where it is entirely possible to be driving in front of a movie star, where you are just living out a mundane existence, where you can happen upon something glamorous or celebrity-tinged. It was in the other Hollywood that my friend and I stumbled upon Candis Cayne at the Abbey in West Hollywood on Monday night.

Yep, same thing Julie and I saw when we were there over a year ago.

The Abbey is a great place to go if you're ever in West Hollywood.  Very friendly, very comfortable.  When we visit WeHo we always make a point of stopping in, even if Cayne isn't there.  (I think she performs on Monday nights)
