I noticed on her website for Papillon Center that she does FFS, but I haven't seen any results or anything by her. (I've just seen SRS results) For location purposes she'd be very convenient and she seems like a really good person and a well respected doctor. But does anyone have any information about Dr. McGinn and FFS? Anyone ever go to her to have anything done? Any websites or anything? I haven't been able to find anything myself... so just wondering if anyone else could help me out. I'm trying to keep as many options open, keeping in mind cost, quality of the surgeon, and location (Dr. McGinn's location is very convenient for me as I am in North Jersey and her office in PA is driveable) Any help?

Not sure what all she does, but give her a call or email and ask.  shes straight forward.  She was a general surgeon before being a cosmetic surgeon.

She's not just a SRS/BA type.  She does other surgerys besides trans related.  I'm a McGinn Girl and while I don't know about FFS, Her Ba and  srs is Very good.

When I talked to her a year ago, at last year's SCC conference, she had been doing FFS for about a year.  I had went to see her for a SRS consultation, and mentioned that I had just put my down payment in with Dr. Spiegel, and she said that she did FFS.  She seemed quite competent in her assessment, and she pretty much came up recommending the same procedures that the other surgeons that I consulted with had put forth.    But alas, I've not heard of anyone reporting back results of FFS with her.   Truly though, it doesn't hurt to contact her office, and see if she can give you patient referrals from some of her post-operative FFS patients that you can talk with about their experiences and results.

From what I understand she trained mostly under Dr. Leis, who does both FFS and SRS (he does both, is also much more experienced than McGinn).   She also trained under Ousterhouse for FFS.  From what I understand she does mostly SRS though, and while she does FFS there are not many people who go to her for that.   

You are not going to hear much about her because out east for FFS most people go to eith Leis or Speigel, and honestly, I think you would be better off with Leis or Speigel.  (I also think Leis is a better option for GRS, but he is also more expensive). 

We do a lot of research about a surgeon's background and what they charge for what.  But when it comes to the face I think it's important to know what YOU want, not what a surgeon does.  I've heard a lot of comments like "She looks like a _ girl" which means she has the signature appearance created by a certain FFS surgeon.  I ran from those doctors because I wanted to look like me.

Whoever you choose, decide what you want, do the VFFS thing, talk to each surgeon and show them the VFFS pics and see if they can give you that look and not their signature look.  Each doctor has their "gems", the ones who turned out almost perfect, but it's the rest of the patients who will help you decide if you can put your trust in letting the doctor decide what's best for you.  Avoid "the package".  That almost always results in that dreaded signature look.

Since McGinn is TS and she studied under O, she may have an edge over some but her inexperience comes into question.  Still, I know girls who went to her for GRS and are very happy.  One here was #5 for McGinn and she has no complaints.  So it appears McGinn has talent and produces good results despite earlier inexperience.  GRS is one thing, the face another, so it makes sense to put a lot of research into whoever you choose for FFS.  It's the only face you have and what people see the most.

I looked at that VFFS thing and wasn't sure if I wanted to do it or not? Its worth the money I guess? When I get more money I'll probably look into it more...just want to know how reliable it is.
