Drag queen brings her show to Keene

It's not always easy being green, but for the most part Hedda Lettuce is enjoying her salad days. The self-proclaimed "drag debutant" performs Friday, Oct. 16, at Keene's Best Western Sovereign Hotel to benefit AIDS Services of the Monadnock Region.

If there's any doubt, she does dress like the name of her character — in green, slinky gowns with flowing, lettuce-colored locks.

She has an attitude to match her bawdy persona. Her appearance on the television program, "Project Runway," a designer competition show, required a contestant to design a costume for her.
