Hey guys,

Under pain of death (muwhahaha) Adrianna has agreed NOT to read this. She's knows i'm watching her. *turns to playfully glare at Adrianna who's sleeping*

We had a really horrific experience getting Adriannas eyebrows waxed at a place in my town. We both felt rushed, we both felt that Adrianna was looked down apon and i was outraged. And here in Canada when something like that happens what do we do....we write letters. LOL And you know what...it worked.

The store is extreamly sorry for the behavour of the one employee AND  they will give Adrianna a better wax since the first was horrible for free and a second one to tuch up later for free PLUS a free professional make up application (by a girl who has done trans clients before. AND they are going to let us do this in the back room as its overwhelming to Adrianna to be right out there in the front of the store. (its a large mall so you can understand her anxiety)

Anywho so we are going to go on Wednesday. I want to make this day special for her. So i want to take her to dinner at one of our fav restaurants that just opened up here Lonestar.  I'm just wondering if there are things i should do to make the day more special. flowers chocolates...what not. And also i know this may be over kill so i'm just asking opinions of everyone...would it be a bad idea  to call ahead to lonestar  because i'll lose it on someone if they take one look at adrianna and laugh or giggle or something. I always think the worst i guess but i really dont want to go to jail for punching some pretty blond in the face LOL

I guess it could be like singling her out i dont want special treatment (i was just going to say that someone will be coming and not give a time) the reason i'm anxious is Lonestars staff is right in your face from the moment you walk in they have two young girls holding the door open PLUS a greeter inside PLUS your waitress. And before someone suggests going elsewhere this is where Adrianna wants to go. For all i know they could be GREAT about this but a lot of the staff seems young so theres always the potential for crap that i'd rather avoid. Am i too over protective...:S

Anywho so my bigger question what else should i do to make this day magical since its her first real and not (skanky) transformation and dinner female. Ideas would be wonderful.

i would say that what matter the most is the effort and this is what people care about more than the chocolate or the flowers. but if you want to surprise her then just give her a flower when she is sitting down having dinner.

as for the restaurant i wouldn't worry too much, at the end of the day you can not worry to much about what people think or not giggle or not you are just there to enjoy a dinner (or lunch) or maybe take her to a gay friendly restaurant for a change..

Go have fun, and don't worry about 'what might'.  Most restaurants are after your dollar and don't really care.  If a problem happens, quietly ask to see the manager and explain the problem.  You will most likely will result in a free meal and additional training for the staff.

And I agree with a single red rose at the table.  And tissues, she may tear up.

You very sweet and she is very lucky to have you.

Now how do i have a single red rose at the table before we get there...lol she drives not me. Should i try to hide it on me or something HAHA or mabie excuse myself to the bathroom and boot it a couple of stores over for flowers HAHA

Contact the restaurant directly and see if the manager will work with you, or maybe one of the waitresses.  And maybe they could even add the rose to the bill.  Means a reservation.

Just a thought.

i guess it must be cold in canada now, so wear a coat with really deep pocket and hide it there.  ^_^

Hi Erica,
.
While we can't always call ahead when going out (nor should we have to),
if you're concerned about a repeat of rude service on your special night, it couldn't hurt to call the restaurant and talk to a manager.
.
You can relate the concerns from your previous poor customer experience, tell them about your special night, and just ask them to remind their staff about showing all guests the proper hospitality and respect.
.
As far as the rose...you could always hide it in the trunk (if you have keys) and run out to get it later, drop it off early at the restaurant, or arrange something with the restaurant manager beforehand.
.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful evening.  :)

Thanks for all the ideas guys!! I'll post about the night once its over. I've decided to try and put my faith in people by NOT calling the restaurant. I'm hoping in a good way that no one cares and we are greeted with a smile. This is a store that hasnt been open very long so they seem to be doing everything they can to make it great when you go. Plus the food is Awsome haha. I know Adrianna's nurvious. Truthfully so am i but we have to go out somewhere that isnt Pride ya know? I'll attempt not to punch anyone who looks at her the wrong way. Man protective urges coming out. When i got out with "Nick" and people look at "him" (women) i just cuddle closer as if to say MINE! but when i think about them doing that when she's who she really is...well i also want to say MINE but then i want to say "Hurt her and i hurt you!!" is that wrong...

Anywho If anyone has any last minute cute ideas let me know. I am for sure doing the flower thing mabie not roses i'd rather get her a bunch then just one. Plus roses cost tons of $$ haha i don't have too much to spare after a great dinner. :D

Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd send you an update!

The day went GREAT. We woke up early (i couldnt sleep i was excited) I pretty much pushed Adrianna out the door because we had to go pick up our foster cat who was at a store (trying to get adopted) So i made her go alone to go get that. (dressed normal maleish lol) I stayed home and researched some things and then got my self all made up.

When she came home i pretty much pushed her into the shower she was laughing. I sat on the toliot and shaved and scrubbed her making her shine. Then i sat her down on the couch and did her make up. Helped her get dressed and then we waited. I was over excited and we had a half an hour before her appointment.

When it was time to go Adrianna was dragging her feet afraid the neibours upstares were out the porch or would see her. She was also afraid of the walk to the car. I knew this and i ran out and down the stree and around the corner to where we parked got in held my breath and drove it around the block to park infront of our place. (LOTS of 1 way streets including the street we live on) I also dont have my licence so it was exellerating for me. I couldnt stop smiling.

Anywho so she got in and drove us all the way to the mall. When we got to the store we were greated by someone. I explained that I had an apointment and that i had been emailing back and forth with the manager.l After a few minutes of waiting nurviuosly around the store the manager came out and spoke directly to me first and then to Adrianna. Just like they promissed they put adrianna in a back room. (they dont normally do make up there just facials but it made Adrianna more comfortable. I stood watching the manager do the eyebrows. She was so nice and funny. She also did a WONDERFUL job. Then she brought in the make up girl who has dont trans make up before. She gushed over adrianna. I stood there for a little bit feeling wierd to just be watching. Then the manager come up to me and asked if i wanted mine done. I had a free one waiting so i was like SURE. She then did my brows and my make up while adrianna got her done. Then we met in the middle and let me tell you i have never seen ANYONE as beautiful as her in my life. I was just in shock. We paid for extra stuff and then the manager asked if she could take our pictures by the fountan i said sure!

After that we got in the car and drove to Lonestar. When we got there no one was waiting to greet us at the door and that was odd but it was early in the day so it wasnt a busey time. As soon as someone saw us they came right up and said "Hello ladies" i just grinned like a fool. The waitress came and she said the same thing. She must have said Mamme to Adrianna 2-3 times over the course of the night. It was great!! The food was great Adrianna looked hot and we were both happy. We ended up going into petsmart and looking for stuff. Then we came home and just relaxed at home.

I hated to ruin her moment but later that night I needed something and she ended up taking off the make up to go out because the neibours were out and about being idiots like always.

All in all it was the BEST DAY. Adrianna also now have a membership card and gets 1 free make up a month...so this is going to be a monthly thing. I'm very excited about that.

:D Sorry for being so long winded and all over the place its been a long LONG day at work so i'm just trying to get it all out.

P.s I'm changing my avatar pic to the one that was taken of us that day!

Erica said I could read this thread now that the day has come and gone.  My god, it was wonderful!  Erica's pretty much described it as it happened.  I just couldn't believe how good it felt.  Especially when the make-up lady was commenting on me so much.  She said I had wonderful eyebrows.  I of course replied with "Yea now that your boss has finished with them" but she waved me off saying that although they may have been messy beforehand, the shape had to already be there.  That I have a lovely natural brow shape.  She wouldn't stop talking about my eyelashes either.  "Put only a quart of mascara on and they nearly touch your eyebrows... I'm so jealous. I couldn't even get eyelashes this long with fakes!"

I had alot of older ladies glaring at Erica and I when we were walking about the mall, but I'm not sure if it's because they could see I wasn't born female, or just because it was two chicks being so affectionite to each other.  Though Erica did try to tone our affections now, complaining that I would draw too much attention to us if I held onto her and stuff.  Frankly I didn't care I felt so beautiful and wonderful!

Dinner was great too, with all the "Hello Ladies" and "If you girls need anything just let me know" it was GREAT!

Though after reading her previous posts I wonder what she was doing while i was getting Bean, and why I didn't get any flowers  :'( OH WELL!

*sigh* the flower shops were way to far to walk too. I couldn't find a decent dollar store that i could walk to to get fake ones. So like any good wife i gave up and just concentrated on making the day great. :P

WOW! How awesome is this? Adrianna, you do look quite beautiful and you are so lucky to have someone like Erica who obviously loves you greatly. I would love to have an experience like that. I also, recently had my first makeover and it was the greatest experience having someone gush over you and spoil you.

I look forward to hearing about more Erica and Adrianna adventures. So much fun.

"The Amazing Adventures of Erica and Adrianna" eh?  Sounds catchy.  Okay, so maybe I added onto what you said but still you may be on to something.  I had a great time honestly, and my leap of faith a day later helped me feel good too.

What I'm talking about is a friend I have on MSN.  He lives in the UK, has known me for maybe a year or two now, and has always thought I was born female.  He has always asked me for a picture, and I've been making excuse after excuse of why I couldn't.  LOL.  I never like to give out pictures of someone else and say it's me ya know?  Anyway so I decided I'd take a picture (the one I have as my avatar right now) give it to him and see if I'm exposed as trans or not.  If I was I dont think I'd care much, since I've never actually met him, he's not important.

Anyway, important or not his reply was one I was happy to hear.  "Holy ->-bleeped-<-, your a ->-bleeped-<-ing hottie" were his exact words I think.  That and he asked for more pictures.  So yea I'm not exposed, looking good, feeling wonderful and all thanks to the wonderful woman I call my wife.  Life couldn't be better... well in this situation anyway.

Looking at your avatar, you remind me of Directer Shepard from NCIS.  Also known as Lauren Holly.

Very pretty.

That may be so, doesn't make it any easier to accept though.  It's so easy for me to spot my own flaws... or maybe it's allow my mind to make them up?  Either way..
