Hey there April.
Why do we conform?
Well look at your own statement, you view the 'idea; female form' in a certain way. While somewhat idealised by the dancers, there is a way things are...
If we want to live in this society, we must follow atleast some of its social rules. And they are more than gender franky.... in the real world, gender is such a small consideration for most people, i often find it facinating how its obsessed over and disected here.
Its like in my english class... We took books I loved, and tore them to bits... disected them till we 'understood thier meaning. But when we understood what we thought the author meant, we had lost what they were trying to say...
Gender is like a book. When we rip them both apart to find out what they truely mean.... we lose what they are.
Society has standards yes. Billions are happy with them. so am I largely ( Not going into feminism and sexism here, FAR too long). There are more important things in life to worry about than gender politics.
If you want to fit in with society, you follow the rules. dont want to follow them? dont cry when people point this out.
