Tributes have been paid to a former Reading School student whose strangled body was discovered in a flat fire in Brighton.

Sussex Police have charged a 41-year-old man with murder after the body of ambitious model Andrea Waddell was found in her blazing bedroom on Thursday last week. A post-mortem examination revealed she had been strangled.

I wonder if this is a "We believe she's a sex worker because all trannies are whores" situation.

Yes, I am always a bit suspicious in such cases.  However, during the period leading up to the arrest, the Detective Chief Inspector heading the investigation stated that she was known to police.
