What size STP worked for you?

I'm finally getting an STP. I have mixed feelings because the thing might not work, but I'll never know until I try.

I think I'm going to order from DJ Knows Dick. They only have pink (seriously, is anybody THAT pink?), but they have various sizes. My packer is the mini--it's 3.5 inches. But I don't pee through it. Is this size long enough for an STP, or would you recommend that I go with the next size up, the small? I hate to buy a small because it's actually so large. I have a small packer, but there's so much of it that I never use it. I think it's 5.5 inches.

Anyway, if you have some personal experience in this arena, do tell.

P.S. I was hoping to order from Mango because they said they were getting caught up, but they haven't answered my e-mail. Anybody know what is up with them?

I have 3.5"  and think it's just right.  Haven't tried any other lengths to comment about them.

I've been using the 5.5" but lately think it's too big.  I'm going to be converting a smaller packer soon.

And forget Mango.  I ordered last October  and I'm still waiting.  Emails have gone unanswered.  I'm pissed.

Ditto Jay, I ordered in Jan, have received absolutely nothing from them, shipment/refund or even email response.

I just made my own from a packy. I have 5.5 but i dont mind how big it is for me. When I lose weight it might seem too big, but for me now its great

My 3.5" seems long enough. My issue right now is the learning curve/operator error, but when I do get it right the 3.5" seems quite enough. Oh, if you want more realistic colours go with Home Grown. I'm quite pleased with the non-albino colouring.

I have been emailing them MONTHLY with my receipt and the shipping label they supposedly created and telling them repeatedly that I never received my product.  Never got so much as even an auto reply.

I should take them to small claims court on principle.  OR stake out their PO box.  They're in RI.

I have the 3.5 ftm stud, its perfect. Works fine, not too big. home grown never responded to my emails, but they do have non pink colors and an stp device.

I'm actually a bit confused about Home Grown. Do they offer an STP packer? Or is the STP just the medicine spoon/tubing without a packer? I want them to put the whole thing together for me--otherwise, I would just make my own. And I'm NOT good with my hands. I was the only "girl" in my third-grade class who received a gentleman's C in handwriting. Plus, my funky wrist makes handiwork rather dicey these days.

Jeez--LAST October? I think I'm going to fall back on the old stand-by: Good luck with that...

Arch, HG has plain packers (I think) and packers with the STP in them. The STP consist of the packer, tube and receptacle- it's all put together for you. I don't think he sells the STP devise as a stand alone.

I'd like to also say that not only are the colour choices good but it feels very nice. It's not as squishy, soft and sticky as some of the regular packies- it's good material.

Home grown sells the stp device(the tubing and spoon) as an add on feature to certain models, and by itself. I emailed hg-prosthetics earlier today and asked if they assmeble it, or if they ship it in parts for the customer to assemble. He responded 'Its your choice, I can assemble or you can, but most guys ask for it to assembled by me.'

I've actually been thinking about getting a home grown myself, in the near future. I just got one of the last ftm stud's in mocha, and everywhere that sells stp packers now only has pink. I don't want pink, I want a skin tone color. And im iffy about using my stp packer often because there are no more of that color, and when it wears out where does that leave me. So hg is basically the only option out there for non-pink packers and stps. Itd be nice if those of you who have bought one from them come out and and tell us a full review about your experience with the company, customer service, the product, and shipping times. :] plz!

Mango finally shipped mine -- after I had ordered it about 6 months ago and only after I filed a complaint with the BBB. At one point they were rated F but it appears they've been upgraded back to C- (http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/internet-services/mango-products-in-wakefield-ri-114619/#rating)

Pretty much at this point I'm encouraging many FTMs to avoid them. If they (he) would at least respond once in a while to indicate he received emails sent then I wouldn't have been as pissed but he didn't.

I ended up getting one from DJ Knows Dick as well. The 3.5 should be sufficient. I'm still figuring this out  :embarrassed:, I'll admit but have been yet to be challenged for my bathroom preferences.

Linus!! Hi, haven't seen you around in months. How are you?

Heh.. I've been busy. Work has been overly busy and I think I'm due for a promotion and raise (the raise would be especially appreciated). And I need to workout more (I'm becoming a little teddy bear and although my g/f loves my "buddha belly" I'm a little concerned about health and all that). Name was officially changed and now I'm fighting with the Ontario gov't as to the requirements to change my birth certificates (why on earth a "Commissioner" has a higher ranking and value for verifying and justifying a name change over a state judge is beyond me but.. Meh).

How you been?

How you been?

Congrats on the name change, and good luck with the birth cert. The state I was born in won't change mine--all that's offered is an amendment--so I haven't pursued that route. Still have to get my passport changed and am putting it off for now.

Things are kinda crazy. Getting a divorce, waiting to hear if my job will be renewed through March, looking around half-heartedly for other jobs, getting ready to move out. Loads of fun.

Other things are good. I've lost about forty pounds since I came out of the closet. I have been on T for eight months and had top surgery. I'm enjoying my teaching and am accepted as male by all of my students. I go to a gay men's discussion group and love it. I got all of my unemployment insurance issues taken care of. And soon I should have my own place, even if the rent will cost an arm and a leg.

I think I'd give my other arm and leg for a fully functional and cosmetically pleasing penis...

Hmm. Hijacking my own thread. Is there a rule against that?

LOL. You are the mod :) Sorry about all the life changes but as I've always said, it only helps us grow more into the wonderful people we are.

I still need to do the top surgery stuff.. sigh. Makes me wanna move back to Canada. :P

I made my own with a 3.5" packy. I can't imagine having anything bigger, even though I'm pretty tall, it would just be an awkward bulge.
