Many years ago I had a friend that had a '73 Dodge Charger. And we went for a ride out on the freeway. I looked at the dash board and the was a small black panel and a small button on the dash, under it it said 'Warp Drive'.
"what's that". I asked.
"Push it". He said ,with a slight smirk on his face.
So I did, BIG MISTAKE. The black panel lite up and begin to count down from 6 to 0. When it hit Zero, I was slammed back into my seat. The car jump and the world began to go by at a rapid rate.
I looked over and the black panel now had dots that went from the corners to the center. Blip, blip, blip. I glanced at the speedometer and it was pegged over 120 MPH. About 15 minutes later the needle move, finally. We finally were able to get off the freeway.
"Pull this Damn thing over, NOW". I said. And he did. I jumped out and asked to see the engine. But it looked normal, all except a small cylinder at the back.
"What does this thing have in it". I asked. He laughed and took me to the trunk. Just as I suspected there were the cylinders of nitros-oxide. He saw the puzzled look on my face.
"The intake manifold is plumbed on the inside, so the injector don't show". He smiled,
"You're a prick. You know that don't you?" I said as PO'd as I could.
He just laughed and we went back home, at wrap drive. Of course. It was fun that time.
