For the testicles, that would be a different story. Perhaps they could just take off one of our X chromosomes and take a DNA sample from a father/brother and add the Y to the mix.
Well look at organ donation... The body doesn't reject those cells usually. And that's usually a completely unrelated person's body part that's being implanted!

So it's not so much about being related as it is about blood types and antibodies.
So... they could theoretically grow it out of only a father/brother's DNA then, couldn't they? And that would still be a 50% match to your own natural chromosomes. Better than most who have their heart or kidney or liver transplanted can say.

Because, last I checked, they didn't know how to do single-chromosome replacement... But the last time I took a genetics class was last year. So I might be outdated.

That would require family being willing to help.
A good point... But I'm sure some lawyer somewhere would be willing and able to win a DNA petition for something like that... They've won wackier things.
I think overall it's a really cool idea and I can't wait to see where the technology takes it! You never know, science does move fast. Fifteen years down the road, we could be looking at being able to grow things like this... Now that would be worth whatever price they put on it.
...And I think this is the longest post I've made on this site. Heh...
