This software is ruining my life! I got an ipod touch a while ago and I loooove it, but iTunes is just meh. The ability to buy music and videos on demand takes a lot of discipline for me, and that stupid skee-ball game is seriously interfering with my daily functioning 

Anyway lately every time I plug my ipod in it opens Microsoft Publisher. Er, what? I can't figure out how to make it stop, any ideas?

As much as I complain about it no way could I ever go back, lol. I read about Verizon maybe getting the iPone next year and actually giggled 

you can disable the itunes store,..
I'm unsure as to how to fix the Microsoft Publisher problem,..

Ok. Weird. Sounds like an association issue. Try un-installing iTunes, rebooting and then re-installing iTunes.
