I used to have an electronics surplus business - just small, buy stuff and stick it on ebay.
That crashed in 2007.
Right now I live rent-free on a 5-acre place in an old trailer that ought to be burned, but instead I have to, and am, fixing it up because it's what I have until I can build something better. Meanwhile I go to EMT school and will hopefully be an EMT in June.
I'm not counting on there being EMT jobs, or any jobs, by then. If there are, great - get my bankruptcy done so I'm hire-able and I may have a chance, Or not, there are a lot of people getting these skills now.
I figure EMT skills will be useful in the coming "doom times" anyway.
In the meantime, I peddle "awareness" ribbons I make, in Santa Cruz. I'm working on playing the musical saw for tips but so far, so bad - I'm not that musical yet. I'll do anything I can, because there's just NOTHING out there. We are degrading into a barter society, mixed with something like Yugoslavia of the early 90s.
What money I get goes into paying my friend back the loan for EMT school, surviving and keeping the motorcycle running, and preps. Preps are such things as enough contact lenses for the rest of my projected life (20-30 years) and stuff like tools, ammo, food stores, medical stores, etc.
