I hate my new phone

For the last year and a half I had this awesome cell phone from Verizon. It was an LG somethingorother and I was really good at texting and taking pictures and making ringtones for it. Then, we had a breakup. It all started when a new toy came into my life, the iPod touch. I love my iPod so much that I started getting ocd about an iPhone and hurt my little ex-phones feelings. She always gave me her best, after all. I was good to her too, she had lots of games and music and screensavers on her, but when I stuck the "Apple" decal to her battery I think that was the straw that broke the camels back.

One morning she just quit working. Her screen goes blank and she took my contact list with her, effectively getting custody of the friends.

So anyway she's still here, I'm hoping she'll fire up long enough for me to get my contacts back at least. The company sent me this replacement...this shiny, beepy, nerdy, star trek looking thing and I don't like it one bit. It makes weird noises and vibrates randomly for reasons I can't figure out. If anybody wants it just say the word and it's yours. I'm not going to carry this abomination around, the last thing I want to do is draw attention to myself.

No it wasn't that fancy at all, that's why I liked it. I still want an iPhone, I'm thinking about just muddling through until after the holidays when my term is up. I figured out how to answer it, so that's progress.

I got rid of my cell phone when they wanted to charge for paper billing. Now I have a simple land line and do not get bothered by calls when I am out enjoying life. The answering machine can just hold them till I choose a time to listen to them.

It was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
