We come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. We have the shared experience of dealing with our GID, but because we are so diverse we sometimes can't even agree on our shared experience.

I have been retail clerk, surveyor, draftsman, statistician, bookkeeper, truck dispatcher, chauffeur, tank gunner, sailor, electronics technician, computer programmer, iron yard worker, mill worker, administrator, technical writer, and a bunch of other things. That doesn't mean I can't understand someone who was none of those things as long as they are willing to meet me halfway.
We come from all over the world and are all ages and have vastly different life experiences, but we have our GID in common. How we deal with it will reflect our needs and our situations and our experiences.
And we're all human.
