There are many types of singers in this world and there are many types of insects. Some are trained. Some are technical. Some are charismatic. Some are mediocre. And, if truth be told, some should be shot while attempting to sing.

Then there is that elusive rare breed. Those who were simply born with "the" voice, and sing from their hearts. These individuals sometimes have disappointments when releasing solo albums for whatever reason (wrong timing, awkward compositions, unmarketable looks, stagnant sales), but thanks to their unique ability, they find solace in singing alone, successfully establishing themselves as formidable entertainers.

Mum Laconic is an example of such exceptional beings. As the most famous transgender crooner in the country, Mum is revered for her wide vocal range that allows her to hit high and low notes, a one-of-a-kind voice, natural techniques that have never undergone formal training, emotive deliveries as well as saucy sense of humour, including her quick switch from male to female vocals and vice versa, and acidic quick wit that never fails to light up the stage wherever she goes.
