FINALLY my mom is making adjustments.
The other day we ran into a couple of her friends at the store...they asked her who she was with and she said "I'm with my SON". I walked to the other side of the store with this look  :o
When we got home she said "You know....I know you think I'm not supportive of you sometimes but you just don't know what I tell my friends.I told them about you and I talked ->-bleeped-<- to them when they say something bad about it.I made sure they know that you are a good person and that you just want to be happy and comfortable with yourself."
Then today at the restaurant she told the waitress "HE would like the same entry as mines".

I had a big smile inside. After all the talk I had with her and all the years I've been trying to make her call me her son and male pronouns...she accepted the fact.

I mean she never had a problem with me being FTM...she was ignorant about  it.I had to educate her on it.
She used to get mad when she hears my sisters introduces me to their friends as their brother. She would always say "I DON'T HAVE A SON.I GAVE BIRTH TO 4 GIRLS." and she used to make sure that everyone knew I was a female...... and would always say stupid jokes about me n stuff...

but I'm glad that she is learning and realizing everything now.

Hallelujah! This is wonderful news, s1n! She is accepting and respecting you enough to turn around, even if it's hard for her. I'm really happy for you, and your mama must love you so much to actually stand up for you instead of just 'living with it'. This is why it's so important to persevere, even if things don't seem to be going the way you'd like, because people can change.  :D

For parents it can take some time to adjust to this HUGE change (well change in their eyes) But then again when they start to come around and use the right pronouns even subconsciously its simply amazing.

Grats on this milestone and dont get discouraged if she slips from time to time.

Hey, that's great to hear!

The more support the better, especially from family. :)

That's awesome and it gives me some more hope for the future of my parents.

I wouldn't have believed someone who acted that way could swing to the opposite side like that.

I am in awe of both of your Mom and you. For her openness to change and your standing in your own truth. Your reality is strong, it changes people. It makes me feel so good hearing that, thank you. I loved it.

Thanks Valeriedances    :)

That's great! Sometimes over time parents will just come to accept that you are who you are. Good to hear that happened for you. :)

Yes,I am very thankful that I am one of the lucky ones.
There are many parents who disowned their kids.
