I think it just varies from area or country to country. I know tons of places in Europe where people are known for being tall.

Most the brits I know.. cisblokes.. are so short that I tower over them.. one of 'em's more than a foot shorter than me.

Well, yes, but the average height for men in many places in Europe (Italy, France, etc) is around 5'7 or so.  I'd feel much more confident there.  And think about Asia where many people are only around 5 feet.  That would be great.

I know I'm taller than most Asian men I've known & met. I believe the average male height in the U.S. is 5'10". That could be different now.

5-3, more 5-5/6 including shoes and afro.

I'm 5'6" ish, and many guys around here seem to be roughly my height.
My younger brother is taller, but my dad is shorter than me at least!

I just found out that I am offically 5'6, so with shoes I'm about 5"6.5

As for different countries, my father was in Burma during WW2, and they ran into the Japanese Imperial Guard who all had to be over 6'2" or so. So much for all Japanese being short!!

Im 5,4 and it does get on my nerves. All my "bros" are around 5,9 - 6,1 so im extremly self concious. They call me munchkin  . My dad was 5,8, not very tall, but i've still got a chance at reaching 5,5-5,6 if I get on T soon... Since im not done with the nightmare/living hell called "puberty" (curse the word) i might just naturally get taller... But then again, being a short man can't be too bad. A homo friend of mine says hes more attracted to short people than tall, so maybe its a good thing...

My dad is 5'11" so I'm hoping maybe I can grow a bit once I get on T. I'm only 18, so there's some hope, right? 

Speaking of comparing with your relatives.
You all (or rather, most of you blokes) are "envious" of my height and all that, but at 6'2, I'm shorter than most the blokes in my family still.
My shorter brother is 6'3, the taller is 6'9, and dad's about 6'11. I Still feel short when around them.
And the little nephews I used to babysit are both over 6'5 now!!

And then there's the fact that my sisters are all about my height or even taller than me when they've got their heels on. They range from 5'9 to 6'1 in height, and mum's 6 feet tall herself. And these women like to wear 3-4 inch heels easy!

I don't feel "really tall" around my own relatives at all!

I'm only 5'4.. All Mum's fault (she's 4'10) My brother's 5'6 - and so's one of my housemates, which makes me feel a bit better

5'3 in shoes and seriously thinking about getting some shoe inserts. Mind you my wife is 5'10 so my head is on her chest level which i really shouldn't complain about

I'm 5'8 but I have my mum to thank for this since shes about 5'10. My dad is 5'5 and he's (obviously) a cis-guy so goes to show that they can be short too.

I'm about 5'6'', which is good enough for me.
