I completed the application to officially change my name by deed poll to Miss Philippa Patricia.  I won't put my surname.   On 7 January 2010, I will officially be the real me.   More complicated steps ahead to get my gender changed on my birth certificate but at least my credit cards and bills will be in the right gender.

Confirmation of my transition is under way and I couldn't be happier.
