There's this guy in my class, let's call him Bill, and he said he would date me if I was girl in front of a bunch of other guys. I turn around, and said, "What?" and we were walking out. One guy in the group, call him Joe, respond with, "Even if she had a mustache ". Then Bill said, "Yes... blah blah..." Then Joe said, "Don't you wish you can just tell them to shave their mustaches (referring to girls)... that's why I like blondes because they don't have it".

A month ago Bill also told me I was the prettiest girl in the class, sarcastically though, but I am just wondering why he thinks of me like a girl. And I don't do anything feminine or girlish for that assumption, but he would had reference a gay guy instead. It's like an unconscious thing for him. I do have a slight mustache too, since I am try to be as masculine as I can around my family.

Also Joe likes to be there for me, like today in class he said that people will have to go through him before me which was really odd. I was finishing some test, and the teacher said I had to hurry up or something.

And these aren't the only guys who like to  defend me, it's like every guy I meet they want to get close to me but not romantically but like just there. And these are straight guys.

Do you think it has the way I look (I look like the average guy but my face looks younger besides mustache), carry myself, or something? Or is it something more deeper than it can be explain.

I had something similar happen here and there and it was people picking up on things without knowing it. One in particular was absolutely shocked when I came out about transition (one of the few who were shocked and one of the few that used to treat me like a woman before knowing).

Now when guys say that I just comment that I could kick their ass so they do not have to go and get themselves hurt. I can only imagine what they would do if someone actually did manage to hurt me. LOL.
