Rejennyrated, I do feel for you but you had the advantage of having an intersex condition.
Your body could not masculinize due to your androgen insensitivity and I think you are luckier than most of us. I do not think that's going to be the case with me because I only had Harry Benjamin's Syndrome which is pretty much transsexualism. My mum used to be very attractive when she was younger but she also is not the curviest woman around, she has always been tall and slim and had B-C cup breasts and not very defined hips, even a narrow pelvis. So speaking for myself, having gone through a male puberty till 16 and the genetics added to it, I don't think I'm going to develop the Kim Kardashian type body I am after just by using hormones, otherwise it would have already happened by now. And I am also a strong believer of 'Anatomy is not Destiny' so whatever surgery or procedure is available out there, I want to have it done. I don't just want to be stuck as 'a woman', instead I've always desired to be a very attractive woman, don't get me wrong, I do get told I am attractive still, but my body is not quite how I would like it to be, I like that really pronounced female type body with all the curves, no bony features or angles, but smooth everything. I do not want it to get attraction from males either, I just want it to be happy with who I am, because when I look in the mirror, I still can see the old version of me so I still have body issues. And I do believe body contouring implants can heal me. I agree with you on the attitude topic, I carry myself well in that way. But having a genetic female attitude does not enhance the body on its own.
And Kara, thank you for sharing the good news, it sounds wonderful but every time there is a new medical technology like a plastic surgery or procedure, it always takes time for them to get it approved by the governments, then they test it for a couple of years before it is available to general public and when it is, then it's the next best thing and it's on the news and everyone will be after it so it's likely that it will be even more expensive than getting implants and implants will be outdated and cheaper then, so it does not make things easier for us, if a woman like ourselves needs that body modification, we still have to fork out the cash, I am just really over with governments treating our transition related surgeries as purely cosmetic, because it's far away from the truth. What are they worried about? That the number of transsexuals are going to increase? I believe the society creates 'transsexuals', if we were all given a fair chance, we would have all started our corrective therapies very early and we would have gone through a regular female puberty and turn out like genetic women and we would not be spending years and wasting money trying to correct our bodies to make them half decent so we can adapt and hopefully have a normal life. I hope to see the day when we do not have to be in a stealth mode like a military aircraft anymore, we can actually come forward and say this is who I am without people's opinions changing about us.
