What bothers the hell out of me when it comes to filling out applications is to mark myself down as a Female in which I am not. I am forced of checking off the Female box due to the fact that I don't want to go to prison and to add on a felony criminal record for perjury.

Wouldn't it be great if they add on: FTM/MTF as an option?

Most of the time, I don't fill that field. I leave it blank.

Sometimes, since it's generally in the order "M" followed by "F", I just write a "t" in between.  ;D

Someday, I will put "F", and it won't be perjury. ahah.

I use an M. If it comes up, well that's what a carry letter helps with.

I know in some places they actually can't require an answer on job applications to that. I leave it blank in that case.

I did actually go to a clinic the other day that had Trans as a checkable option on the form. Was awesome.

Bothers me too, but sometimes you have to.

Like with doctors and such. It's too bad, but someday I'll be legally male. And as close to physically male as I can get. Look forward.

I just leave it out if  I have to and sometimes they end up filling it out themselves so if they tick M, hey, they did it not me.  But like you've said, when u got to doc surgeries and such i always clench my teeth with frustration and tick the 'F'...I find it difficult to make pen meet paper when ticking the incorrect box.

as to docs, my clinic assigned me the M. My original clinic offered to change the f to M. I was in emergency room from an accident, they thought I was M due to my name and license, nor would they have known if i didn't tell them since they wondered about my binder when checking my heart.

I tick them both.

Never had a question back. It's prepared; I'm TG but you didn't have a box to tick so I did both.

That's really cool. I've never seen that before. :)

at the psych clinic where i go, they had options for GENDER male, female, transgendered, androgynous, and other.  i checked male, trans, and androgynous.  my therapist was a little confused upon meeting me and seeing that id checked more than one
