Do you like guys with facial hair?

I was flirting with this guy at the store today and it got me thinking about boys.

Anyway I came home and baked a little bit and started watching this documentary about the origins of Israel complete with reenactments with lots of black haired bearded guys and it totally killed my amorous mood. I used to find a little stubble sexy but after going through so much pain and anguish over mine I'm not sure I could stomach it again. How weird, right?

Yeah, I'm the same. Facial hair (in fact, body hair of any kind) is one of my biggest turn-offs.

I'm probably projecting.

Back when I was nursery-age, I would stay at my grandparents' house. They'd try to make me eat the crusts of toast by saying it would put hair on my chest. Of course, I didn't want to eat it even more.

clean, neat and trimmed is good, wild and scraggly with food in it is gross

then again, on me, I'll take what I can get for now.

I guess it depends on the guy for me. I don't normally like a mustache with no beard. I'm not sure why.

My previous boyfriend (not my current ex but the guy before him) had a mustache and beard. He actually looked kinda funny without them. Then I met my current ex, who was all of 22 at the time and not very hairy on the face at all. I got used to the clean-shaven look, although I really liked the stubble once it grew to a certain length. A little shorter or longer, and I didn't like it.

On me, of course, I'll take what I can get. I have a mustache, but it's so flimsy!

I don't like kissing guys who have beards etc. Always wonder how 'clean' they are. Smelling lunch is enough to make me throw. :embarrassed:

Tried to grow one in a different life time. Looked like patches of mat, hated it.
Hate shaving too. But at least that is begining to slow down.

Well what a surprise! ;) I'm the odd one out. All my boyfriends were bearded.

I adore hairy men. Always have. A well managed beard and some chest hair sends shivers down my spine and feels gorgeous whenup close and personal.

considering our acid conversation of yesterday I guess I should mention that I baked cookies; I wasn't referring to frying brain cells or recreational vicodin use  ;)

I used to really like chest hair and stubble too, I don't know what the heck is going on but I sure hope it passes.

My parents would say the same thing to me and I had the same reaction.

The well-groomed look is best ... wild and scraggly is not.

Depends on the facial hair.  A well trimmed beard or mustache is fine.  Wild and unkempt is a turn off.

Chest hair is cool, but hairy back is shutter-city.

I really don't mind facial hair. If it's well kept and frames the man's face then it's fine. If he's a shaggy man without any sense of decency then forget it!

I like a guy who takes care of himself :)

Come on now,

if a cisgender guy going to love you, I don't think the facial hair is going to be that big of deal breaker....

Physical appearances don't matter a whole lot, besides old age and obesity, I'm fine.

i think stubble looks the best if I had to choose something, but it's really not that large of a factor.

I like the goatee every now and then. But I like it most when my fiance has a soft smooth kissable face.  I like the rugged scruffy look every now and then too.

I don't like facial hair when it comes to men with short hair. But put some facial hair (Not a beard) on a medium-haired man and I'm all game! If you're wondering what I'm talking about. Look at the music video for Radar by Britney Spears and look for the long haired man--That's the kind I like! :]

Goatees are decent on the right guy. Some guys can pull it off, some can't. But I know for sure that mustaches are a major no no for me.  My BF has some facial & body hair, and I don't mind it at all. ~laugh~

I really can't stand facial hair on guys. I made my BF shave his beard...I couldn't get him to shave his moustache and I HATE kissing it. I don't even want any for me.

interesting, a furry who hates fur?

no offense meant Kurzar. It just struck me as funny somehow. I actually find you kind of interesting.

At the risk of sounding shallow I would tend to disagree. There is something to be said for a healthy physical relationship, and if I can't stand to kiss the guy when I wrap my arms around his neck I don't think it's going to go much further. Personally I don't mind a belly, as long as we don't get carried away.

On the bright side I found myself enamoured with this gorgeous thing at the Hickory Farms store. This place is my kind of store, dedicated to meat and cheese and as far as I could tell was staffed entirely by gorgeous gay men, the cutest of which did in fact have facial hair. When I was trying to flirt with him and he wouldn't give me the time of day I started to get offended until I realized why.

So I'm not getting laid because he isn't into girls. That's bittersweet.
