3 days ago i submitted a topic to say should I "live with it or fix it". Today I told my therapist that after heart renching thought I have decided to transition. I will let my young family know in January of my decsion. My therapist agreed with my decision ,saying that if I dont transition things wont get better for either of us. Its better now than in a few years. To be honest, I actually cant bare the thought of living another day in this body and i cant bare the thought of not living as a woman. Some of you said I must be prepared to lose everything. I might not be be prepared yet, but it is now my time. I just want to be happy. Is that unfair to ask? I actually feel good about my decision.

Davina good for you. I had to make this choice too. Some people do choose to live with it and good for them. I just know I couldn't do that so I began transitioning.

And to tell you the truth, I've lost my wife, home, and my family already. Let's hope my job isn't next.

Like Jerica, I too lose my family and my home. But I am happier with myself and my ex sees that, which makes her happy for me.

I think you made the right choice. No matter what happens it will be just temporary but you will be able to live the rest of your life how you want and need to live it. Mega hugs!

Thank you for all the support. I was so worried everyone was going to think that i'm crazy and selfish. I'm over the moon that you agree with me. I only had 2 choices and I know I made the right one. Its quite liberating too think that I will live my life as a woman. I have butterflies in my stomach.

not criticising you at all your entitled to your oppinion just reminding that this is a support site there are other sites for advocating child wellfare and id have to argue which is better for a child a transparent or a suicidal one how happy a life a child will have if one or both parents would rather be dead then living a lie.

congradulations sis! I made the choice a year ago and haven't regreted it at all, my friends cheered me on to be who I am, only one or two shyed away, but there loss, I have great support from my wife ( we have been together 17 years ) It's takeing time for her to adjust... the main thing is not to push your wife, let her get used to the new you at her pace. I also have support from my ex, we are like girlfriends with kids together if you can wrap your head around that. I'm not full time yet, My wife says I'm not ready, I still need lasor hair removal but can't afford it right now.  It's getting harder and harder to conciel my breasts and my face still has a semi-rugged  look. I'm wishing I just saved the money I spent on electrolysis and invested it on lasor and been done with the shadow that is so hard to cover up, ADDVICE! Lasor Hair Removal NOW!...I am so ready to go full time mentaly but thank God for my wife bringing my feet back on the ground and advising me not to go out yet. I do though, to my group theropy sesions where I meet up with the other TG's in my area. sorry for the book sis, got to be the hormones, best wishes and Merry Christmas, Wendy
