I think I am finally ready to do something about issues.  I didn't do so good on my final exams.  I still passed but still.  Anyway, the day after school ended I was watching anime and the girls in the show made my dysphoria hit me once again.  They weren't the "hot" kind or whatever.  Obviously it still runs in the back of my head without me realizing it.  I live in the baltimore area in the state of maryland of the U.S.A.  I probably going to find a a therapist or some kind of help because this has to end.

Lauren, getting counseling sounds like a good idea.  You are fortunate to live in a part of the US which has therapists familiar with transgender issues.

I remember that the decision to get counseling was a big psychological hurdle for me.  In part, this was because I had the notion that setting foot on the path would inevitably lead me to transition (and all it entails.)  However, this is not the case.  The purpose of counseling is to help you decide what is best for you.

I am not familiar with the Maryland area so I can't recommend any resources.  Do you have a therapist in mind?  Will paying for the therapy be a problem since you are in school?
