Actually I'm off tomorrow morning to Montreal to see Dr Brassard about my SRS scheduled for Dec 11th.   I'm only 4 hours away and I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited.  Gill will be coming with me as from the clinic we will be going to visit her brother and his wife for the week end.  What a great way to end the week.

P.S.  I am surprised you didn't see him sooner.  I had to see my surgeon last May.  Recently I've heard that he is scheduling surgery for Jan 2008.  Can you imagine?  that far in advance?  Anyway...I guess every doctor is different.  Congrats Steph!

I guess I could have seen him sooner, but I didn't check.  I waited until I had all the documentation in order then after I faxed them to the clinic they contacted me with a date for SRS and a consult.

Congrats Steph, have fun. Hope you get some time in Montreal as well, although from what I recall about your eating habits, a smoked meat and garlic pickle from Schwartz's is probably not one of your permitted pleasures.

That's awesome!  Montreal is an amazing city, try to get some time to explore it too.  The modern art museum is great.  And holy crap, there's good food all over the place.  Just don't eat in the touristy part, soooo expensive.

Oh yes I've a lot of places to visit.  I lived there for 6 years and Gill is from Montreal, in fact we met in high school.  Wow that was a long time ago.  Yep you're right Dennis nothing beats Montreal smoked meat - yum.

Thanks Mikko, we plan on going to Mount Royal, the place that Gill and spent a lot of time when we were dating.  It would also be nice to go to the burger joint opposite the old Montreal Forum (Go Habs Go) it's where I proposed to Gill, over a hamburger, very romantic.

Truth be known Dawn is that I am quite nervous as this will be the first surgery I have ever been through.  I've never even had a broken bone and the most time I've ever spent in hospital was due to a mild case of food poisoning years ago.  On top of that I've only ever had one suture to close a small deep cut.  The time has flown by hasn't it.  I can recall you posting just before your date about how nervous you were and how Leigh challenged you on it as Leigh would do, bless her soul.

Thanks for compliment a girl has to look good for the surgeons however, come the day, I some how think that it will be the furthest thing from my mind

I'll be sure to report back as I know that there are others here who are contemplating the Montreal clinic for their SRS.

And all this for a consult?  How will you keep from hyperventilating on Dec. 10th?  (or do they start giving ya the GOOD drugs the day before?) 

As far as your new piccy is concerned, I've stopped complimenting because every new one is better than the last and I just expect it now.  I wish I'll look that good some day!
