I need a job.

Still a minor, yes, but I need to move out asap, and thus, need a job, even if it is only good enough for saving up little bits of money. I'm very unsure on how to approach the whole gender thing when applying for a job.

If the application asks for gender, what do you put?
Do you have to out yourself during the interview? Or do you just wait until someone finds out otherwise?
If possible, is it appropriate to wait until you get hired to out yourself?

For your I9 you will need to provide a drivers license or passport so they will find out when you give them those, unless you have had them changed already. I had my new DL and had my gender at SS changed just in time. They did ask if I had ever been employed under another name and I put my old female name on it, no one ever said anything. At this point I have not outed myself and work at a large company where no one knows me.
