:(

I went to pick up a ring with my mom and i asked the lady (i think it was my voice that gave it away) If i was a boy or girl and she replied, Girl

*sigh*

Then..I went to another store and this man yelled "Ladys, come here" Or something like that, and it was just a dissapointing day :\, it sucks.

You did not fail, they were just blind.  You succeed by being just you.  Time will improve their blindness.

Happy New Years, anyway.

Awl, yea I know, those kinda days DO suck. But... they happen, unfortunately. Most of us have had our share. But they also get less and less over time. Have faith. In time... in time...

I like this way of looking at it. :) Really nice. And very true. Just being who you are is all it takes. Let the rest of the world scramble to catch up.

I find that life disappoints you less when you aim high and have low expectations.

Don't sweat it, it'll come in time. Just relax and let people take you as they will, stressing over it brings no benefit.

This still happens to me.  Some people are simply poor at picking up on visual clues.  As so many have already said, you didn't fail - they refused to see.

It sucks when that happens. I've had that happen (well, not asking people but the whole getting clocked multiple times in a day thing).

Try not to let it get you down, but also try not to hold it against them. You'll just end up a bitter man that way.

When it happens to me, I have to step back and remember that I was born into an XX shell after all. They're just reacting to the shell. It's nothing personal. They don't know you, and they don't know your actual gender identity.

You didn't "fail". Different people see different things. As long as you're being yourself, then you're doing just fine. You're just doing the best with what you've got, and they're doing the best with the social protocols they know of. Nobody is "at fault" or in the wrong, it's just a little misunderstanding not worth correcting (unless you plan on making them a part of your life).
