Hey everyone, I am new here and figured I would make a quick post saying hello. I am actually getting ready to do the holiday run around with family so I can't say much right now but I had responded to a few threads and thought it appropriate to at least throw up something so people know who I am and whatnot.

I'm 25 years old, FTM and I've been on T for just over 2 years now. I am engaged to a MTF woman who will be 30 soon and has also been undergoing HRT for 2 years. Neither of us have any surgeries yet but both plan to pursue them, it's mostly a matter of being able to afford both of our costs as we are also both college students. I am attending college to be a gender therapist and hope to work in private practice someday and do exclusive work with other transsexuals.

I'm from Omaha, Nebraska if anyone else is nearby I'm always happy to make new friends online or even in person.

So basically, this is hello!

Yes it is interesting how many similarities there are. We started talking about it shortly after we began dating and found out that all of our steps happened within months of each other even though we didn't know one another then. We changed our names legally just months apart, we started hormones just months apart. We even had the same therapist and didn't know it. We are both bipolar as well. We just fit together, and in lots of ways that is nice. I mean, as you probably know, one of the worst parts of transitioning is the question of who will ever want to be with you, who could love you for who you are... we were lucky to find each other, to have someone who not only has so much in common but truly understands is a real blessing for people like us

Nebraska is located near the middle of the USA. It does get fairly cold in winter, although the last few years it feels like winter starts later and ends sooner. Perhaps those of us in Nebraska should be promoting global warming 

There is less and less snow here too. We just had a big storm and got 7-10 inches of snow in different parts of the city within about half a days time. They call even little things like that a blizzard now days. When I was about 12 I remember my father driving here (we used to live in another state but his family was here) one winter to meet his brothers and help his dad clear out their driveway, help with tree removal from ones that had been weighed down by snow till they snapped and some minor roof repairs and things like that after just one storm that year. Maybe it was just being a kid and not understanding everything, but it seemed like winter used to be a lot harder here than it is now. We don't even get snowed in or have a snow emergency every winter, it seems like we had one every year when I was younger.

Plus every time it snows even a little everyone in the state acts like they've never seen it or driven in it before, haha.

I live in Wisconsin and I get a kick out of the first few days of snowfall. I can understand if it's someone's first winter... But when I have friends stuck in ditches and they call me up to pull them out I always give them a big steaming pile of crap for being one of the first idiots that couldn't remember to SLOW DOWN.

Especially in a state like Wisconsin. It's the great white north people. We do this every year, it shouldn't require a learning curve every time it snows for the first time.
