Im only a size 12B at the moment, so not very big...but what can I use to bind. My mum doesnt know anything at all yet, so I guess buying something would be a little tough. What else can I use and how!

Tight sports bra, carefully wrapped ace bandages over a tank top undershirt.... you could even buy a pair of tight cycling shorts and cut the seat out, slip it on over your head!

I found this site to be helpful:
http://www.ftmguide.org/binding.html

I use a Frog Bra (i'm a D cup) - it's a tighter, stiffer bra made of cotton, lycra, and nylon. Very little stretch and it works for me. You could get away with asking mom for that, you know? Just say you need extra protection or what-not when you exercise.... only downfall is that it's $35.

I don't know about the ACE bandages. I've read that they'll suffocate you, kind of like a constrictor snake.

Myth. Sure they can be tight (which is why you have to be careful) and can interfere with breathing (all binding can, really) but the biggest problem i've heard with them is they can dig in to your skin. Hence why i say wrap over a tank undershirt.

I never had a problem with them and i used them a lot before i could get a proper binder (and my frog bra.) They slid around, but i never had breathing issues or anything like that. I stopped using them when my moobs grew to D cup size (that's when they get iffy).

I also used the leg wraps i bought for the horse i worked with..... they actually worked better lmao, though a bit hotter. I was desperate, see....

Cool. Maybe I'll try it then. Not out to parents myself and we do have them.

its not exactly myth, I mean I did it for awhile so I can't really like lecture you or anything but the point of ace bandages are to support and injury, that means the more you move around the tighter the ace bandage gets to support your "injury" It really isn't about the immediate effects its what it can do to you over time. Ace bandages can also rub you tumors in different places(unevenly) unlike a regular binder, making surgery difficult because of the inconsistencies in the breast tissue. Which would be why I stopped.

I'm not telling you to never do it again or for icecubes to never, I'm just saying  don't do it if you can avoid it...

I started off using sports bras, I am about the same size as you, it isn't really going to help you pass probably unless they are like really tight and work better for you but it is better than wearing a regular bra at least.

I'm only a 32A-32 A/B (US size), but I still try to be careful that nothing is visible >_>
(in case you think that lump around the chest in my picture is disformed looking boobs, it's not. That's just how my shirt is falling forward because I'm slouching.)

I don't actually "bind". I just put on a sports bra, a wifebeater/tanktop/whatever you call it, 2 t-shirts, and then my top layer shirt and I'm set.
You can't even tell that I'm not completely flat chested.

It should work for you. If not, what was suggested in the comments above will probably work..

yea i wear a tightish tee shirt, sometimes 2 and a flannel with breast pockets and im set i haven't checked in while but i think im a b cup, used to be a c but somhow they shrunk..i think
i hate the feeling of a bra, sportsbra or anything there..i need nothing there to be comfortble, but thats just me

I use an ACE bandage then a tight sports bra over it.  It isn't the best comfort-wise, but it'll work until you can get a legitimate binder.

I've been doing that, but flipped order (and.. a tshirt between the two, just so my skin doesn't go all nutcase. Mistake learned the hard way)
Annoying, but it works for now.

This.

If you can find a tight sports bra with a high lycra content, that's probably your best bet for a cheap option. I'm around a 38A, and for the most part I just go with the sports bras and clothes layering. Button-up shirts are really good for hiding chests.

Someone please explain to me what ACE bandages are?!  ???

I use bandages my family has accumulated from the doctor. I use two, on a rare occasion three. They're pinkish, stretchy, and normally used as a sort of wrap for a sprain or such. I use them and they do wonders, though they slip somewhat, which can be taken care of with small piece of tape to the fabric you're wearing these over. Oh, yes, wear them over something such as an undershirt or tank top.

These days, however, I use a binder from Underworks. If you can manage a card and the money from somewhere, a friends maybe, you can get a binder from there. I shipped mine to a friends house. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure you are describing an ace bandage, they are kind of pinkish tan and made of a stringy fabric and very stretchy. And yes they are usually used to wrap a sprain or injury of some sort as I said in my previous post.

See, then I am very confused. I have never found these to "cut in" like everyone says. I think I've experienced the "tightening with stretching" on a few occassions, but they really aren't terrible things. I'm describing over the skin by the way, but now I only use them over an A-shirt. They are rather poor, I can give commentors that, but nothing terrible like I've heard. Maybe it's just me?

Maybe they're a cheap ace knockoff. The good kind suffocate you and mess up your chest!

Ace is the brand name. It is on the bandages.

Ace makes very specific bandages with a highly elastic character, there are other wraps that are slightly stretchy that are used to keep dressings on, but that an entirely different product, for a very different need.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Issue I always had with Ace bandages are they don't like sitting still on my chest, especially while walking/running. Things like sports bras or actual binders or the makeshift bike shorts binders tend to stay where you put them more reliably in my experience.

I tried both a back-brace with velcro and normal wrap bandages...the velcro one worked better; I actually "popped" out of the normal wrap bandages jogging from the car once (and immediately beelined into the nearest restroom to fix the mess).
