I like carrying a purse.  It is better than trying to carry all your personnal stuff in your pockets.  Women are lucky to carry a purse.You have choices in different styles.

it started out,...keeping a simple black leather purse, in the van.
my cell phone car charger, headphones with microphone...spare lighters for my smokes, and just various other odds and ends...
just supposed to be...only for the vehicle.
you know how long that lasted don't ya?  I got hooked. started filling another purse, with makeup, and hairbrushes, and what-all-else I could find...my i.d., and such...became a real I-am-carrying-a-purse-so-sue-me thing.
so yes,..got one is a blue-jean denim back-pack purse...but my fav is the black leather.
don'cha know babes?  black goes with everything?

ah well. these things happen I guess.  now if I could just find those ladies jeans, without back pockets.......
