I'm lugging 'round a couple (30 ish) pounds of extra weight that I should probably drop, and so I have a bit of a spare tire, and yet I haven't had that problem.
Also, I like it for the cold as well, as it's my chest that usually gets the coldest.
Chest, arms, and thighs.
Abdomen area is always warm as it's covered by the most layers, and most fat for that matter.
