I am majoring in political science secondary education. Why well I have a political background and I like to teach. I am curious as to what majors other college students here are pursuing and why?

Applied Arts and Sciences.  Why?  Well, I changed majors a whole lot.

Software Engineering -> Applied Arts and Sciences -> Information Technology -> Information Security and Forensics -> Applied Arts and Sciences.

I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do.  I kept trying computer related majors because that's what my highschool counselor thought.  Let me tell you, that was not for me.  I'm getting my undergrad degree this year, and hopefully I will be in graduate school next year for Education and Counseling.

Music. I'll be going into Music Education specifically when I transfer to a university.

Why? Because I want to be a band director and maybe make some marching shows as well (at least do the music.)

And yeah, that will probably keep me from transitioning...

As an undergrad I majored in epistemology which lead to a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in physics.  I began to study technical theater, but got in the union* and found the union apprentice program much more hands on and useful.  I was pretty much done with all the union classes at the same time I graduated.

Later, I received a Masters in American History, and some time after that received a PhD in the History of Science and Technology, doing my dissertation on attitudes toward technology in 20th Century America.

* It was - to my eternal credit to him by the way - my technical theater teacher who took me down to the hall, signed me up under his card and told me that given my skills I'd just be wasting time in college studying the theory when I could be learning the practice and the craft itself.  I did keep working on all his productions though.

I am a History major right now and will get my degree in it.  I spent some time on Psychology, Political Science and Business too.  Not sure where I will take all of this but I love to help others.

Right now I am an undergrad in Philosophy.  I will have my degree by Fall of 2010.  I chose philosophy because I enjoy explaining things.  I get the inner urge to always tell how things are.

I did the union stuff for my dad who thought people should have real skills, I did all the degrees for my mom who thought I should not waste my talent.  But doing stage work was always my first love, and my last love.  Its a sick addiction, but its full of other sick, perverted, twisted, freaks, so I fit right in.  It also payed hella more than teaching college, though it was much harder work to be sure.
