Five months after Athletics South Africa ordered gender tests on teenager Caster Semenya, the embattled federation has completely distanced itself from the controversy.
Semenya, the world 800 metres champion, has yet to receive confirmation from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) on whether or not she can compete against women.
And her coach, Michael Seme, is preparing her for a full season of competition, starting next month, including at least three races in the South African domestic season, a campaign on the European circuit and the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October.
