OMG! Been playing for a few years. I multibox on Magtheridon and have 35 level 80s, 5 level 77s and some other lowbie groups..

Someone save me! There has to be a cute guy that can drag me away from this game!

what server? ^^ (is it europe too?)
Nah, it's North American. I'd rather not give out the server, though.

I don't blame you :P  I will say I play on one of two servers that differ only by one letter and that I'm the best rogue in the best alliance guild on said server.  I have that "the Insane" title too, so if you really wanted to look me up it wouldn't be too hard.

Indeed, I'm trying not to leave too many crumbs behind.

Logged out a short while ago for lack of anything to do.

I've played since November of '07 on a NA server. I joined up with a semi-casual raiding guild in June of '08, but after almost a year with them the stress got the better of me. (Getting "involved" with the GM/RL didn't help either, though my interaction with her in the end did lead to me finally confronting my TG feelings.) I then leveled a protection paladin with the intent to see the tanking side of things (main is a warlock), but even though I've done my homework on gear and play, I can't bring myself to really do anything. The new Dungeon Finder tool has really been a mixed blessing to the game. The way I've seen heroic groups go while on my 'lock, I'm really hesitant to do them as a tank.

In fact, it's really made me learn just how afraid I am of people overall. I have nearly instant access to play alongside others whenever I want thanks to the scarcity of tanks, but instead I shy away and do the same dailies again and again. . .

. . .But yeah, I play, kinda.

We have this thread every couple of months. Someone plays a night elf female hunter in Azeroth to hide from what's going on in real life and asks if anyone else feels good about doing the same thing. It's cheap entertainment but please don't substitute it for real life or real transition.

as someone far in my progress playing with my boyfriend just for fun and simply curious about other people here, oh - and playing horde, not alliance D - I am not sure how this is relevant at all O_o

Of course it's not a substitute for real life or real transition, it doesn't even come close. People who treat it like that are only 10% of the gaming population.

I played for a while, on a free trial.  I never really got very far.  I just can't see paying to play.  And I was on a US server.

You kids should try Anarchy Online, it's like World of Warcraft but actually fun. Someone described it as "electronic crack" the other day and I had to laugh at how accurate the comment is. You can play for free forever, but you'll want to become a paying subscriber if you get hooked.

I still log into it every now and then, but I really do enjoy being a homely, fat, poor, real girl a lot more than a beautiful, wealthy, powerful cartoon one.  Besides, my in-game friends have all quit and moved on with their lives too, and things just aren't as fun as I remember. The game has actually gotten better, I just can't get back into it because it was always about friends and relationships for me anyway, and I can't be bothered to go to the trouble of making new cartoon friends.

I also played Anarchy Online and I plan to go back sometime again when I eventually get around to it  ;D
I am in one of the best PvP orgs on the clan side so there is always lots of action to be had!

I have played world of warcraft but i always give up after a month give or take. It just gets boring to me. I do try to buy the expansions cheap and play a bit more to explore all the new places. What i loved about the game was exploring and getting to places you shouldn't, like mount hyjal way back and that mountain on ironforge, or as a lvl 15 all the way from dun morogh to silithus (and then ported back to iron forge because apparently lvl 15 weren't allowed to that special event there ...)

as a game collector i've got quite a few MMORPG accounts. most of the games get boring because i have a hard time finding people i like to play with and real life friends are just as undedicated :P

i play lord of the rings online once in a while, but mines of moria bored me and now i rarely play.
i sometimes pop into second life.
i played anarchy online a bit long ago when it got free, maybe the account is still floating around.
i played tabula rasa when it got free to play up to its shutdown couple months later.
i played Archlord a tiny bit a long time after it became free up until it moved to the new service (europe problem. codemasters stopped the service here) i have also migrated to but not tried yet.
i play sometimes Guild Wars (all three campaigns), but it gets a bit lonely (and yet i hate the towns...)
i played Warhammer online, but it got boring too. but most awesomest collectors edition ever
still have the codes from Age of Conan and from City of Villains to register. Waiting for whenever i have time.

might seem like waste of money, but i do only buy games when i find them incredibly cheap, and these (mostly) definitely were :P. also they look nice on a shelf.

i'd love to find people to play with, but i probably wouldn't fint the time to play consistently

I play an online game.

It's got a small player base and most people seem to spend most of the time chatting. Some of it is really quite funny. But the best part is each of us has gotten to know each other very well.

It recently went through a major re-write. It was offline for a couple of months. Now it's back, though many of the features are not fully implimented yet.

But, most of the regular players have returned. That says a lot about it.

One of the thing I really like is the strictly enforced rules against racial and sexual abuse. Abuse of that kind leads to a ban. Though it's very rare.

I play female characters and everyone there knows me as female.

I agree, it is not and cannot be any substitute for real life. But what I'm putting in comes from inside. And inside I'm a female. It is a great release not to feel any prssure to be a man.

Apart from my gender, every other aspect of my life that I've given out is completely honest.

I gave up on WOW imediatly after the major twink nurf.
Played Twinkerbell on Dalaran. The bitch is straped.
I had 70's but they were no where near as fun as my Twinks. Which was my game. I have tons of twinks on my old account.

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
