Odd, I just drove out past there yesterday.  In HS we called the Bodega Head "Purple Dirt" for reasons I never quite understood, but it was our favorite place to get psychedelic back there in 1969-1973.  How we never died out there is pretty much an act of god.  It's still a very special place to me, and the effort to stop the building of the nuclear reactor there was a critical part of my PhD dissertation.  Odd how lives intertwine.
