Boo.

I'm Aiden, a 20 year old transguy living kind of near Nottingham in the Uk. Pre T sadly, looks like it'll be that way for a while as I'm fleeing the country in a few months (pending a visa coming back alright I'll be in Canada for a year) so won't have time to get started while I'm in this neck of the woods. Maybe over there though, who knows. I've been lurking on here and reading for months, so I figured I'd finally register and do it all properly.. Got to admit it's kind of lonely sometimes, not talking to anyone else who's trans, just because as much as anyone else can be supportive, it's not the same as talking to someone who knows firsthand what's up.

So, yeah. Hope you're all having a good 2010 so far, and I'm done failing with my intro :P Move along, nothing to see here..

Except you. Hey, how're you doing?  ;)

Alright, a new transguy! Like I said to the last one, it's great to see so many FTMs come in over the last few months and actually stay.

Canada, eh? Where abouts are you going to be?

Hoping I'll stick around. I remember lurking on here a few years ago too actually (never posted), seeing a few familiar usernames now I come to think about it, haha. Back then I convinced myself that I didn't need to do anything, after the idea of transitioning got too real in my head, if that makes sense. This time though it's at the stage where I need to transition to be happy/alive, so..

Looking at Toronto if everything comes back alright, sometime in May hopefully.

Oh, cool, Toronto. I'm roughly 3 hours away from there and I've got family there. :D

Do you know if there's much trans related support available in Toronto, or anywhere vaguely nearby? Found a few things, but firsthand knowledge is always better  :P

Hi Aiden, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4000 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Yeah, definitely. You should be able to find tons of support groups in Toronto, in fact it's kind of like a hub. I know more about the medical side of things, though.

Thanks for the welcome Lachlann and Janet.. Got to admit that line about "family" has me smiling more than I'd have thought.

Hmm.. if we're all family that means I've got to be on my best behaviour, damn  >:-)

Eta: The medical side of things might come in useful when I'm over there, if I decide to start T. Not completely sure if I'll be able to, not being a permanent resident and all, so I'll be checking that out when I'm in country I think. Thanks man :)

Yeah, if you have any questions about the medical side of things just hit me up(I actually know of a really cool Endo that's in London, ON.) Toronto is a nice big  city, you'll probably be able to find some nice support groups.

Hey Aiden! I know a couple of people in the Toronto area and like Lachlann says there's a lot to find over there. My friends aren't trans though, so couldn't give me first hand knowledge on these support groups, though only know of things peripherally.
