People usually go into a day time sleep pattern because they worry about being disturbed or interupted in what they want to do, even if it's just thinking.
Night time, those that are likely to disturb us are usually asleep.
May I suggest you find youeself a routine, especially for the evening?
Perhaps get into the habit of going somewhere.
That will get your body clock ticking properly so, when you do find another job, it'll be easier to get back into the work routine.
