My nails grow quite quickly soi went to the shop today and had them filed and a resin coating put on them.
Now they look lovely medium to short ovals polished and a skin colour painted.
Its a pain pressing the keys on a keyboard though.
;D

Just give it time and practice,  learn to type with the pads of your fingers rather than pounding the keys with the tips..... :D

I have to type slowly because my space bar often as not space.
So if you see words joined together you know why.

The nails only cost £35 and the young lady was most helpfull.

Before starting HRT I had really nice strong nails that I could easily shape and polish to look nice.  Now they are thin and brittle and all but impossible to do anything with :(

I have found that my nails seem to feel hot !

My natural nails crack easily and brittle as well.  I used to have them done regularly in a manicure salon, but then a friend of mine showed me how to do them, so now I don't spend a dime and have beautiful nails everyday :P   I redo them every week, but sometimes they can last up to two weeks.... :)

I have a problem with my right hand middle finger nail in that it tends to split up through the middle.
So i need to be carefull with that nail, though i am hoping that the resin nails will offer some protection !!
But riding accross the common every day does not come with its own problems because i  stuff myself and bike into gorse bush's.
Not those bush's girls (i'am too sweet for that)!! ;)

I realize it's off topic but that avatar you chose Lolli is incredible.

I just noticed it and it has such a powerful feeling behind it..I saw it and I thought to myself "That's me...omg, that's me".  Ok...I'm on a mission to find this picture in a format that I can make into a desktop.  I wish I could find a large poster of it to hang in my room....how odd that an anime picture would affect me so strongly.  What can I say..I guess I'm a little wierd.

Ok..I got it but not in a format that would fit the desktop correctly so I let it "stretch" the pic and the result was incredible.  I love this pic.....it illustrates the way I feel inside everyday perfectly.

;D  Thanks Lolli....... :P

Brandiok i am pleased that you love the picture.

It depicts my feelings of repression all these years along with my signature.
Alone and in the dark.
To me it represents loneliness and sorrow awaiting a helping hand.

And to me this web site and its family is the world wide hand.  :-*

Thank you very much for your words Lolli.  As you can see, you're not alone anymore, for you have all of us here who will always listen and try to help as much as we can.  I'm very glad that you have found us; this site has become  our second home for most of us, and I have the impression that you are beginning to feel that way as well. :)

*hugs*
