Well, I don't know how much this stuff is actually going to do, but today I went to Wallgreens and bought myself some DHEA pills. It says on the side effect list that it causes facial hair and voice deepening in "women". So we'll see. If it works I'll update y'all, for anyone that, like me, has no access to prescription T.

Playing with steroids is a very dangerous game and who knows what the final affects they will have on your body. At the very least consult your doctor before progressing with this plan.

Can you say what DHEA is?

Quote from: WikipediaDehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is an endogenous steroid that has been implicated in a broad range of biological effects in humans and other mammals. Together with its sulfate ester (DHEA-S), it is the most abundant steroid in humans.[citation needed] DHEA is produced by adrenal glands, but also synthesized de novo in the brain.[citation needed] It acts on the androgen receptor both directly and through its metabolites, which include androstenediol and androstenedione, which can undergo further conversion to produce the androgen testosterone and the estrogens estrone and estradiol. DHEA is also a potent sigma-1 agonist.[3] It is considered a neurosteroid.

Found it.

There is a chance you may get the effects you seek.

There is also a chance you may develop acne.

can you say how much you intend to take please?

Thanks janet. I've been scraping through all the places I know of and took a while to press the POST button.

I've got quite a bit of info on it now. Hopefully Aaron will respond soon.

Spacial, we're not allowed to talk doses for safety reasons.

Also, T would give acne too.

OK scrub the question.

Aaron, just be careful.  :)

Being absolutely useless at this kind of thing is it similar to the body building supplements you can get that are aimed at increasing t production

I'm a teenager, acne is already very much present. -_-' Haha. I won't say the dose, only that I'm taking what the label on the bottle says to take.

I'll be getting an estrogen blocker as soon as I can afford it, so that won't be a problem for long.
Also, there's been legislation around for it for like, 5 years so I'm not all that concerned.

Hmm something I'd definately be interested in hearing about, especially the voice deepening. Wonder how long that could take before you would notice?  My worry is the possible raised estrogen...NOT something I want. I'm not on a blocker...tho maybe I should ask for one.

I'm planning to make recordings of my voice every now and then. We'll see. ^_^

if i remember properly DHEA is really weal and converted to T by the tests and to E by the ovaries. Which one do you have?
Then again I doubt increasing your E could damage you (pre-T) as much as increase T can damage a pre E/Anti-T.

It's the base of sex hormones. Is converted into Progesterone > Testosterone > Estrogen.

That is, if it's even real DHEA. Studies didn't show many results if I recall and supposedly real DHEA is hard to come across.

I can understand trying out something like this in the short term, but I'd honestly continue with therapy and working towards actual T shots.

You can overclock those XX internals, but if you want results you're going to have to eventually import your T from an external source (libtestosterone.so?)

I understand the desperation, but I think the money is better spent on jumping through hoops for real T.

I'm a minor. My mom wants me to have a baby when I'm older. Guess who's completely NOT on board for me getting T? >.<

Ah. Gotcha.

Good luck then! I've heard exercise can increase the effectivness of those pills. Remember that you won't be a minor forever.

Your mom does know that adoption is an option, right? I don't get this whole push to breed thing... we're not dying out as a species any time soon.

I know... but she's a midwife, and really big on the whole birth-being-sacred-and-holy-and-whatever.

From the information I found on this stuff, I don't think there is a lot to be worried about in the short term.

Some of the side effects may be a problem, But there is no information that I can find detailing the background of those experiencing these.

For example, there is one reported case of a man, taking this stuff who suffered heart arrhythmia. This might be a cause for concern until you look more carefully. Heart Arrhythmias happen to many people. I'm pretty certain that a significant proportion of people with Heart Arrhythmias have walked under ladders. And the report in the case of DHEA is one person. Frankly this sounds a bit like scaremongering, or another case of medical liars.

The problem here is that Aaron is using DHEA for its side effects.

Side effects with any drug happen. They are usually listed according to how common they are, with particularly common ones being noted separately.

I did find a little information on the frequency of some of the side effects, but can't list it here.

My biggest concern is that I can't get any proper or credable information on what constiutes an overdose.

Everything has an overdose. Even tea!! But I can't get a credable source to say what the overdose of DHEA is.

I'm only taking the dose that the bottle says to take, so I think I'm alright. Unless of course it has some sort of violent reaction to a cup of coffee in which case I will soon be dead.

Well, it's been 3 days and 1. I haven't died yet and 2. I've noticed some small changes. My appetite, energy level, and libido :icon_redface: have all gone up. I also think there's a very slight change in my voice.
I don't know if this is just wishful thinking, but it seems like my peach fuzz is growing back rougher than usual.
