The couple were both born girls and have undergone surgery to transform their sex.

Scott, 30, who is legally married to Thomas because he still has a female birth certificate, says he eagerly looking forward to giving birth.

Families come in all different shapes and sizes nowadays, and no-one knows that better than Scott More, his husband Thomas and their two children, Gregg and Logan.

Scott and Thomas, who live together in California, were both born girls and underwent hormone treatments and surgery to become men. They are legally married to each other as Scott retained his female birth certificate.

I really don't understand why this individual has allowed their situation to be made so public.

I think we can all understand the issues here. Having a baby is a real need for many people. My own life will always have a void for not having had childrem. In our case the matter was beyond our choice, but that's a different discussion. I make this point to emphasise that i do understand the urge to have children.

What I cannot understand is the need to be so public about it. This is the second time and the public reaction is the same.

How can this possibly be of benefit to anyone other than the egos of those involved?

Perhaps I'm missing something here.

If that is what they want, more power to them.  If I was involved with a FtM and he wanted to get pregnant, I would be right there for him.  Ok, I get to be the Mom and that may sound a little selfish, but I would still be right by his side.

Erm, they aren't really the second since there was another TG couple who went public, but details shmetails. :P

Hopefully this kind of publicity will help change public view for guys further down the line who don't necessarily want to hide that they're carrying a kid, but also don't want to be seen as a sideshow freak.

In Australia if you answered the question, "do you intend to bear children", in the affirmative, your FtM transition would never  happen.

Congratulations, it's a boy - who will give birth next month.

Two proud papas are expecting a baby boy in February, London's Daily Mail reports, in what will be the world's second known case of birth by a "pregnant man."

Not to mention all the ones who haven't gone public.  ;)  I met one at MN Pride last year, as a matter of fact.

Anyway, congrats to the dads.  I wouldn't do it, but I can understand why some would.

Fortunately it is easy to say 'no' and have a kid later.
