I remember that thing! When I was a kid puters were just coming into widespread use in schools and the counselor made us each make an appointment to use the one computer on campus and find our true destiny.

It told me to be a lumberjack. I can't say if it was right or wrong, I have never actually become a lumberjack but it doesn't seem like something I would excel at.

When I did this it was on program cards, yep those small computer gizmos were still a sparkle in IBMs I.

After filling in form after form and it going through a card based coding a processing the answer came out.

You should seek a career as a research scientist. I asked the counselor what it meant. She said it meant I needed to go and find a job

BTW Aaron thanks for the MP sketch love them; did you people (USA) ever get Fawlty Towers? I still cry at some/most of them. Particularly "The Rat". Oh so many, damn I'm going to have to DVDs out

It told me I should do some manner of investigative work. Didn't get a specific job yet though.

Those programs are quite a lot of fun if you can get to use them repeatedly.

They are based upon the old paper personality profile nonsense where eah answer, depending upon what it is, is assigned to a specific category.

With a little effort you can get it to recommend all sort of weird professions.

At the end of the day, the job that's best for you is one where you can get along with most people and go home in one piece.

Investigative work just means spying on people to get evidence for divorce. Don't quite see you Aaron, being very happy doing that.

And the other way around, whever I see STP on the forums I hear "stone temple pilots" in my head.
Same here, I always get Plush or something stuck and repeating in my head.

I actively notice other acronyms and can't really, off the top of my head, add anything to what has already been mentioned. I do want an STP shirt, though. And a Trans (goat or AM) shirt. I like subtle callouts like that.

Quote from: rejennyrated on December 05, 2009, 05:45:42 AMIs there a market for a special range of slogan printed TS-Shirts?

It does pay to advertise after all! ;)

I agree with this. I've been mentally working on a shirt design that I'd be able to screen myself to save on cost, that is the combination of the female and male gender icons. You know, the circle and line with both the arrow and plus sign.
Then of course we could (legally and non-infringing-ly) modify modern logos and brands to fit our experiences and common acronyms. And slogans always have their place on shirts.
