I think other states could learn a great deal from Washington State. Transsexuals are protected under state law the same as any other person. It is easy to get a name change, a change gender on your license and birth certificate without having SRS. It's not 1596 its 2010, maybe they should start acting like it.

So is it's neighbor to the south.  Oregon is very protective and progressive.
